Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about ŒnoT, the AI mobile app for wine professionals
How does ŒnoT estimate the yield potential of a block? (beta)
The estimate is based on a transparent agronomic model. For each block, ŒnoT combines a baseline (grape variety, appellation target, planting density, vine age), the observed signals (your voice dictations and photos), local weather and a calibration learned from your past harvests. Every number is explained line by line in the block view, alongside a confidence level. The goal isn't to replace the professional's eye, but to make the estimate more structured, more traceable and easier to justify.
What are the assisted counts inspired by AWRI methods?
The AWRI method (Australian Wine Research Institute) consists of counting bunches across several zones of a block to derive the yield potential. ŒnoT guides you from mobile via an AI chat: it asks for the number of vines counted, the number of bunches, zone by zone, and computes the extrapolation automatically. The session pauses if you stop midway and resumes from where you left off. A minimum of 3 zones is needed for an estimate to be considered usable.
How do I get beta access to the Yield module?
The module is currently in private beta, built through field iteration with a consulting oenologist and a winegrower. It is open as a priority to independent consulting oenologists and pilot estates. To request access, use the « Request beta access » button on the Yield section of the homepage or contact us directly via the form at the bottom of the page.
How do I use ŒnoT for the first time?
To get started with ŒnoT, follow these steps:
- Create your estate: In Estates, tap New estate. Enter the estate name and a contact for follow-up.
- Define your blocks: Open Blocks and create a block. Set the grape variety. Area and soil type are optional.
- Record your first observation: When setup is done, start voice observations. The app detects plant protection products from diseases you mention.
You can also add products manually and record voice notes in the app. In under five minutes you are ready to use every feature.
What is ŒnoT and how does it help wine professionals?
ŒnoT is an AI mobile app by GrapeTrack for oenologists, growers, and technicians. It saves hours of reporting, builds a full history for estates, and automates traceability. It supports voice field observations, AI photo analysis for grapevine diseases, and automatic professional PDF reports.
How does voice capture work in ŒnoT?
Voice capture uses Whisper to transcribe field notes. The AI structures observations, flags diseases mentioned, and prepares content for PDF reports. Transcription stays reliable even in noisy outdoor conditions.
What PDF report types does ŒnoT generate?
ŒnoT generates four professional PDF types:
- Daily reports per block with weather and immediate recommendations
- Global reports with visit history and trends
- Estate comparisons with risk scores and detected diseases
- Visit comparisons over time with trend analysis
How does AI photo analysis detect grapevine diseases?
Photo AI uses models trained on thousands of vineyard disease images. It can detect powdery mildew, downy mildew, grey rot, nutrient deficiencies, and more. It also suggests treatments based on what it finds.
Does ŒnoT work offline?
Yes, ŒnoT has a complete offline mode since version 3.2. You can record voice observations, take photos, perform tastings, and browse your data — even without network. All data is saved locally and syncs automatically when connectivity returns. Only AI features (chat, photo analysis, voice transcription) require a connection.
How accurate is ŒnoT AI?
ŒnoT reaches about 97% accuracy on disease detection and voice transcription. Models are updated regularly. The stack combines Whisper (voice), computer vision (photos), and NLP for reliable results.
How does ŒnoT protect customer data?
ŒnoT encrypts observations and customer data. It follows GDPR with secure authentication, role-based access, and audit trails. Data is hosted on secure servers in Europe and is not sold to third parties.
What are the benefits for oenology labs?
Labs get standardized reports, better field team efficiency, and a stronger professional image. You can manage several consultants, compare estates, and deliver uniform reports. That lowers operational costs and improves advisory quality.
How does ŒnoT fit into an existing oenology workflow?
ŒnoT replaces manual note-taking and report drafting while keeping your information structure. PDFs integrate with existing tools and can go straight to clients. The web app lets you review and organize data from the office.
What is the cost and is there a free trial?
ŒnoT offers a free 30-minute demo and a 30-day trial. Pricing depends on organization size and seats. GrapeTrack offers plans for independent consultants, labs, and cooperatives. Contact us for a quote.
How does the smart reminders system work? v3.6.1
Reminders in ŒnoT act like a personal assistant. You never miss an important follow-up.
Typical use cases
- During a field round: “We need to treat block 5 for downy mildew before Thursday’s rain” → reminder created automatically
- During a tasting: “Remind me to check tank 12 fermentation tomorrow morning” → notification at 8:00
- Client follow-up: “Call the estate this week about lab results” → reminder with client context
How it works
The AI detects intent from natural phrases:
Smart extraction
| Task | "Treat for downy mildew" |
| Date | "Thursday" → resolved date |
| Time | "Tomorrow morning" → 8:00 |
| Urgency | "Before the rain" → high |
| Context | Block X, estate Y, tank Z |
Urgency levels
Automatic context
Reminders link to:
User experience
- Dedicated Reminders screen
- Color badges by urgency
- Mark Done in one tap
- Works offline
- Daily dashboard
- Monthly calendar view
- Estate and block filters
- Automatic sync
Business impact
| Before | After |
| Lost sticky notes | Centralized reminders |
| Missed treatments | Automatic alerts |
| Unreadable handwriting | Clear history |
| No client follow-up | Scheduled nudges |
An oenologist visits 15 blocks in a day and says naturally: "Block 3: downy mildew traces, need to come back Friday", "Block 7: check trellising next week", "Block 12: urgent, thin before harvest". Result: three reminders created automatically with the right dates and blocks.
